As I was working on the El Perú-Waká Archaeological Project, I worked as a part of the epigraphy team. As a part of the epigraphy team, we documented all the stelae at the site. One thing that made it all the more interesting was all the exposure to language. We spoke to each other in English and Spanish but then were documenting ancient hieroglyphs. This got me thinking about the signage at our site and looked into implementing trilingual signage that includes the modern Maya language in the community.
