I studied archaeology in school and had the amazing opportunity to work on ancient Maya sites in Belize and Guatemala. I was previously living in Chengdu, China working as a teacher in a Montessori Kindergarten. While I was in China, I completed a Master's Degree in Education focusing on Teaching Multilingual Learners.

After returning to the United States I worked at my local zoo's education department and dove into the STEM informal education world.

I currently work for my local school district overseeing our K-12 Dual Language program, of which I am an alumni and our 6-12 World Languages programming.

I am passionate about language education specifically access to quality language education and creating educational resources for rare and indigenous languages. I speak English and Spanish fluently, am proficient in Mandarin Chinese, and speak novice Kiswahili and Ch'orti' Maya.
